BUS IS NOW TAKING PROPOSALS FOR:
FEBRUARY - DECEMBER 2009

Proposals are due on June 1st 2008

All proposals are to be mailed or delivered to 117 Little Lonsdale Street, Melbourne 3000. Emailed or faxed proposals are not accepted.

Please include:

COVER PAGE
- The name of a contact person and contact details (phone, email, postal address)
- Preferred gallery
- Preferred month
- A working title for the exhibition
- A brief (one or two sentences) description of the exhibition

WRITTEN PROPOSAL AND CV
- Written proposals and CVs are to be submitted in hardcopy and digital Word Document format on CD. - Written proposal: Please provide a clear and concise description of the work to be exhibited, outlining the main themes and ideas, and describing how the work will be installed in the gallery space. (one A4 page) - CV: No longer than one A4 page.

SUPPORT MATERIAL
- Support material should be supplied in digital format on CD or DVD (no slides)
- All images should be supplied in jpeg format (maximum 1MB per image)
- All video should be supplied in Quicktime format (maximum 10 mins)
- Minimum 6, maximum 10 still images for a solo exhibition
- Minimum 15, maximum 20 still images for a group exhibition
- Minimum 2, maximum 4 video works
- Please include a list of all support material (including title, medium, year)

Exhibitions are for three-weeks duration. If you have a project with different time requirements, please contact the gallery on claire@bus117.com to discuss the project before submitting your proposal.

Fees:

The gallery fees for the three spaces are as follows:
- Main $765
- Skinny $410
- Sound $275

Fees include:

Mailout, invitations, Art Almanac listing, Trouble listing, opening night, promotion of artist talk / forum / performance (if required). No commission is charged on the sale of work.

Artists are required to sit the gallery for the proportion of the show relevant to the number of spaces they require. (ie. if an artist exhibits in one space only, they will be required to sit the gallery for a third of the exhibition; if an artist occupies the whole gallery they will be responsible for sitting the whole show)
